Elderly woman found dead after house fire

An elderly woman was found dead following a house fire in the Churchill area of Letterkenny, Co Donegal earlier today.

Gardaí believe the blaze occurred between 8.30am and 9.30am this morning.

Emergency services were alerted and found the woman, thought to be in her eighties, dead in a bed in the house.
