Kylie hopes to play Glasto, say Eavis

Pop queen Kylie Minogue hopes to play at Glastonbury next year, festival organiser Michael Eavis revealed tonight.

The pop star, who pulled out of last year’s event following her shock cancer diagnosis, would like to headline the next festival.

Since being forced to abandon her Showgirl tour, and her debut at Britain’s most famous music festival, Kylie has been recuperating.

“Kylie is coming back hopefully,” said Eavis. “Her people are quite confident - she wants to do it.”

“I do hope she is fit enough, she really wants to do it.”

“She doesn’t fit the Glastonbury festival image with Neighbours and all that razzmatazz, but her shows are so theatrical they are almost like a circus in a way, which really fits in with Glastonbury.”

But Eavis hinted that the singer could be delighting crowds again next year.

The festival organiser and farmer, who was attending the premiere of the Glastonbury Movie said: “I speak to her people fairly regularly – they are hopeful.
