Craig Mottram aims for fourth Great Ireland Run win

09/04/2006 - 11:28:55
Australian Craig Mottram will be going for a fourth successive win when he runs in today's 10k BUPA Great Ireland Run in Dublin.

The 25-year-old, who won silver over 5,000 metres at the Commonwealth Games, views the Phoenix Park race as crucial in the build-up to the outdoor season.

His main rival could be European cross country champion Sergiy Lebid.

Ireland is represented by Mark Carroll and Irish inter-counties champion Gary Murray.

Women's title holder Amy Rudolph of the United States will be tested by late entrant Meselech Melkamu from Ethiopia.
