Amateur taken to hospital after Kelso spill

Amateur rider Tjade Collier was taken to hospital for X-rays on his head and neck following a heavy fall at Kelso.

The 7lb claimer took a nasty tumble from Hold The Bid at the seventh flight in division one of the Blaeberryhill Inn “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle.

He was taken to the Borders General Hospital in Melrose for tests and as a result racing was delayed while the ambulance returned to the course.
