Man charged in connection with Cork drugs haul
09/04/2006 - 10:23:54A man in his thirties has been charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Co Cork yesterday.
The man appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court last night, after he was caught driving a van carrying 100kgs of cannabis resin.
In a separate seizure, gardaí recovered 200kgs of the same drug from a house in Cobh.
It is not yet known whether the two drugs hauls - amounting to a street value of more than €2m - are connected.
In Dublin, gardaí are continuing to question a man in his 20s after a heroin seizure in the city.
€400,000 worth of the drug was discovered at a flat in the inner city.
