Eircom League Cup draw throws up some local derbies

The draw for the second round of the eircom League Cup has been made with a number of interesting local derbies taking place.

In Group B, Dundalk will face Drogheda United in the battle of Louth while in Dublin, St Patrick’s Athletic face Shamrock Rovers at Richmond Park.

Further south, Cork City take on Cobh Ramblers while the tie of the round is the meeting of the last two winners of the competition, Derry City and Longford Town at the Brandywell.

Group A:
Limerick v Kerry League
Cork City v Cobh Ramblers

Group B:
Monaghan United v Bohemians
Dundalk v Drogheda United

Group C:
Derry City v Longford Town
Sligo Rovers v Finn Harps

Group D:
St Patrick’s Athletic v Shamrock Rovers
Dublin City v Shelbourne
