Average industrial earnings up 3.1%
06/04/2006 - 11:36:18Preliminary estimates of industrial earnings for December 2005 show that the average weekly earnings of industrial workers increased by 3.1% when compared with December 2004.
Industrial hourly earnings rose by 2.1%, while average hours worked increased by 1% for the same period.
Average weekly earnings of employees in the industrial, clerical and managerial sectors rose by 3.4% in the year to December 2005.
This rise consists of increases of 3.1% for industrial employees and 3.7% for clerical and managerial employees combined.
