League Cup previews
Dublin City v Kildare County
Dublin City will be without Ger McCarthy for the next six weeks after the striker suffered an ankle injury.
Vikings boss Dermot Keely said: “Ger’s injury is a blow because we have a very small squad as it is. It looks like he’ll be out for about six weeks.”
Keely will delve into his Under 21 squad for tonight’s eircom League Cup clash with Kildare County at Dalymount Park as the club look for their first win in three games.

Bray Wanderers v St Patrick’s Athletic
St Patrick’s Athletic boss John McDonnell insists he will not be using tonight’s League Cup clash with Bray Wanderers as a friendly.
McDonnell will select his strongest possible squad with Stephen Quigley back from illness though Stephen Caffrey is ruled out with a groin problem.
Bray will give Terry Masterson and Stephen Roche their first starts of the season.

Cobh Ramblers v Waterford United
Waterford face some old friends tonight when they travel to Cobh Ramblers in the eircom League Cup.
Ramblers could field five former Blues tonight at St Colman’s Park with David Breen, Willie Bruton, Alan Carey, Kenny Coleman, Packie Holden and Steve Yelverton all now part of Stephen Henderson’s side.
The Waterford boss could be forced into making changes from the team that lost 4-2 to Bohemians on Friday night with Gavin Doyle (calf) and Daryl Kavanagh (hamstring) both doubts.

Athlone v Bohemians
Bohemians are hoping to build on last week’s win over Waterford United when they face Athlone Town in the eircom League Cup.
Jason McGuinness (groin) is the only doubt for the Gypsies and manager Gareth Farrelly has insisted he will field his strongest possible team.
Athlone are at full strength.

Longford Town v Mayo League
Longford Town will give a number of squad players a run out in tonight’s eircom League Cup clash with the Mayo League.
Mathews said: “I’ll give a few players who have not played games to keep their match fitness up but there won’t be too many changes.
“It’s a home game for us and we’re looking for our first win of the season. I want us to continue on from where we left off against Dublin City when he finished the stronger.”
