Uttoxeter forced to abandon
31/03/2006 - 15:20:19Tomorrow’s meeting at Uttoxeter has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Heavy rain over the last week has left the track saturated and clerk of the course Keith Ottesen does not believe conditions will improve enough for their meeting to go ahead.
He said: “We have had to abandon as the rate of recovery has not been quick enough after the accumulation of rain in the last seven days.
“With another band of rain forecast to move in, it needs more help than it’s getting.”
