CSO reports economic growth of 5.4% last year
30/03/2006 - 12:37:29The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has published figures showing that the Irish economy continued to grow strongly in 2005.
In its latest Quarterly National Accounts, the office said GNP and GDP increased by 5.4% and 5.7% during the year.
The volume of consumer spending was also up 5.6%, while capital investment increased by 13.1% and industrial output was up 4.7%.
