Suspicious package sent to McDowell’s Dublin offices
28/03/2006 - 13:45:31Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a suspicious package at the offices of Minister for Justice Michael McDowell in Dublin today.
Gardaí were alerted after white powder was spotted coming from a package that arrived in the post at the minister's constituency office in Ranelagh this morning.
Army bomb disposal experts were sent to the scene, but they have since returned to the barracks, suggesting the package did not pose any threat.
The contents have not been revealed.
