Four former AIB execs on Revenue defaulter’s list
Four former senior executives with AIB have been named in the latest Revenue Defaulters List, which was released this afternoon.
A total of 148 settlements were made between October and December last year, amounting to more than €28m.
The four former AIB executives, which include former chief executive Gerry Scanlon, settled after Revenue's investigation into offshore investment company Faldor.
The amounts range from €206,000 in Scanlon’s case to €13,000 in the case of the late Patrick Dowling.
Country n’ Irish music star TR Dallas and former Kerry footballer Jack O'Shea are also listed.
Dallas, listed under his real name Thomas Allen, settled for just under €16,000. O'Shea, listed as a plumber with an address in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, settled for over €19,000.
Both were investigated for offshore assets and under-declaration of income tax.
The biggest settlement was by Michael J Costello, a retired company director from Bettystown in Co Meath, who paid up almost €2.25m. There were four other settlements worth more than €1m.
