UCD to field U-21 team tonight
27/03/2006 - 12:04:43Last season’s eircom League Cup runners up Dundalk travel to Oriel Park to face UCD at the start of this year’s competition.
Once again, the Students will field an Under 21 side in the competition as they look to give their young up and coming stars first team experience.
Manager Pete Mahon said: “We’ve won the Under 21 League for the last two years so these boys have nothing to prove at Under 21 level. I want to see how they react to first team football but throw them all in in the League.
“Playing the Under 21s has worked well for us in the League Cup before.”
Dundalk, meanwhile, will field a full strength side as they look for their first win of the season.
