Six killed in house shooting

At least six people were killed in a shooting at a home early today, police said.

Three other victims were taken to a Seattle hospital for treatment after the shooting, said police spokesman Rich Pruitt.

Police believe one of the dead was the gunman, Pruitt said.

“We’re interviewing close to 20 witnesses – some from the house, some from surrounding areas,” Pruitt said, adding that the shooting did not immediately appear to be related to domestic violence.

Homicide detectives had just arrived on the scene at about 8.25am (4.25pm Irish Time).

Pruitt said it was too early to provide more details.

“It’s really, really early,” he said.
