Penalty gives UCD win over Blackrock

Eoghan Hickey helped UCD end their two-game losing streak in Division One as he kicked the match-winning penalty at Stradbrook.
The 24-year-old out-half held his nerve to land a 35-metre shot in injury-time and ruin ‘Rock’s chances after they had come back from 7-3 down at the break.
UCD winger Stephen Grissing’s try on the half-hour, converted by Hickey, split the sides. ‘Rock out-half Paddy O’Toole kicked an early penalty.
‘Rock managed to go 11-10 in front thanks to winger Alan Henry’s try and penalty, but Hickey’s penalty brace on 57 and 83 minutes sealed it for the students.
