Govt announces €12m funding for childcare facilities
24/03/2006 - 11:23:52Children's Minister Brian Lenihan has announced €12m in funding for childcare facilities throughout the country.
Mr Lenihan said €11m of the money would be allocated in grants to 62 creches in various areas and the remainder would be used to provide more staff for both community and private creches.
The extra funding comes in the wake of recent controversy surrounding standards in childcare facilities.
