DUP lodges objection to waste incinerator for Meath
24/03/2006 - 15:14:23The Democratic Unionist Party has lodged an objection with Meath County Council in relation to the proposed incinerator near the site of the Battle of the Boyne.
In a historic move, the party is objecting to the incinerator on the grounds that it would damage the historical site.
The DUP also says Indaver's plans to build a waste incinerator would pose a direct obstacle to the development of an interpretive centre at the Boyne.
