ISEQ in buoyant form
24/03/2006 - 11:50:38The ISEQ index of Irish shares was in buoyant form this morning gaining 71.09 points to 8046.89.
The financial sector all contributed to these gains. AIB rose 36c to €19.79, Bank of Ireland rose 29c to €15.57, Anglo Irish Bank gained 20c to €13.52.
Irish Life and Permanent continued its good form, rising 28c to €19.90.
Elsewhere Tullow Oil rose 14c to €4.97 while Dragon Oil remained unchanged at €3.01.
Pharmaceutical company Elan were one of only a few companies to record losses, falling 20c to €11.25.
