'Rising population to drive future economic growth'
22/03/2006 - 13:30:14NCB Stockbrokers has predicted that population increases will continue to drive economic growth in Ireland over the coming years.
In a report published today, the company said it expected the population to reach 5.3 million by 2020, with immigrants accounting for up to 20% of this figure.
NCB said this would create the conditions whereby economic growth in Ireland could continue to outstrip that in other EU countries for the foreseeable future.
