Hickie signs for Tigers
Former Leinster hooker Gavin Hickie has signed a two-year contract with Leicester Tigers.
Hickie took the eye of Tigers coach Pat Howard after making a goood impression on a short-term contract at Worcester Warriors.
He said: "I'm thrilled to get this chance. The opportunity to be part of the set-up at Leicester was too good to turn down. But I'm very sad to be leaving Worcester. I didn't know anybody when I went there and I've fallen in love with the place.
"That made it a tough decision to make, but you can't refuse when Leicester come calling. Playing for Leicester will present a lot more opportunities in big games next season.
"I played for Leinster when they won the Celtic Cup and played in Heineken Cup matches for them as well. I want to add to that experience now and take my career onto the next level."
