Blackwell wary of Palace backlash
Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell knows Crystal Palace will be out for revenge when the teams meet in a must-win game in the Coca-Cola Championship at Elland Road tonight.
United won 2-1 at Selhurst Park earlier this month and will be looking to secure the victory that will see them leapfrog Watford and take them to within one point of Sheffield United in second place.
However, Palace have promotion aspirations of their own and victory is imperative if the Eagles are to maintain a challenge on second spot despite being 11 points adrift.
Blackwell told Sky Sports News: “It’s an interesting game as we have just played Palace and (manager) Iain (Dowie) and the lads there will be hurt.
“We know because we beat them there and we know they will be a dangerous animal when they are wounded.
“We have a lot of respect for them and we know it will be a tough game.”
