Aer Lingus vows to improve customer complaints service
21/03/2006 - 08:11:04Aer Lingus is reportedly setting up a taskforce to improve its customer service after admitting that its current system for handling complaints is poor.
Reports this morning said the airline had scaled back its customer complaints section over the past few years as part of cost-cutting measures.
The reports said this had led to a situation where complaints from Aer Lingus passengers and even the Director of Consumer Affairs were ignored and never responded to.
The consumer watchdog reportedly had to send inspectors in person to Aer Lingus head office because of the airline's repeated failure to respond to written queries.
