Seven new cases of winter vomiting bug at St Vincent’s
17/03/2006 - 15:16:40Seven more people have been diagnosed with the winter vomiting bug in Dublin's St Vincent’s Hospital.
This brings the total number of cases to 199, of which 24 are on-going.
In all, 136 staff members have been affected, and about 50% of these are on sick leave.
The hospital authorities are appealing to the public not to attend the A & E Department if only complaining of the effects of the virus, as it can spread to other, more seriously ill patients.
