83-year-old woman dies in Mayo house fire
16/03/2006 - 15:23:16An elderly woman is dead following a fire at a house in Co. Mayo this morning.
The alarm was raised around 11am, after fire broke out in the bedroom of her home at Pollagh Straide, about seven miles from Castlebar.
The 83-year-old woman was alone in the house at the time. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
