Tomorrow's Hexham card abandoned
15/03/2006 - 09:20:35Thursday’s meeting at Hexham has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Clerk of the course Charles Enderby was forced to call off the six-race card following an unsuccessful inspection at 9.00am this morning.
“Even if we had had a dry day today it’s unlikely we’d have been racing on Thursday,” explained Enderby.
“The track was unraceable yesterday after we had around nine millimetres of rain from 11am up until the evening.
“It was not too bad last night but the problem was on the back straight.”
