ISEQ edges closer to 8,000
15/03/2006 - 17:48:29The ISEQ index of Irish shares edged closer to the 8,000 barrier today, rising 58.01 points to 7957.82 by the end of day's trading.
The financials enjoyed good fortunes. Anglo Irish Bank was the biggest riser, gaining 23c to €13.68.
Bank of Ireland rose 21c to €15.25 while AIB rose 8c to €19.28.
Irish Life and Permanent remained unchanged at €18.40.
Elsewhere eircom rose 3c to €2.16.
