BA to axe high street travel shops
15/03/2006 - 12:18:55British Airways announced plans to axe its 17-strong chain of high street travel shops today.
The proposed move is likely to affect around 300 jobs, while another 100 posts are under threat because of the likely closure of a call centre in Belfast.
BA announced the restructuring of its direct sales operation in response to increasing use of its ba.com website.
