Two men still in custody after €2.8m cannabis seizure

Two men remain in Garda custody this morning after being arrested following a major cannabis seizure in north Co Dublin yesterday.

The pair, aged 41 and 24, were detained after 400 kilogrammes of the drug were found in a van that was stopped near the M50 in Cloghran.

A gun and another small amount of drugs were also found during a follow-up search.

Gardaí said the cannabis seized had an estimated street value of €2.8m.
