FG and Labour to mount joint attack on Govt’s record
14/03/2006 - 07:44:41Fine Gael and the Labour Party are to join forces this week to launch a fresh attack on the Government's record in a number of areas.
The two parties are due to hold a joint press conference today to highlight what they say is the mis-management of the public finances by the Fianna Fáil-Progressive Democrats coalition.
They claim the Government has squandered €1bn on the PPARS computer system, electronic voting machines, the Punchestown equestrian centre and the Dublin Port Tunnel.
Tomorrow, the parties are planning another joint attack on the Government's record of assisting Irish emigrants, particularly those living in Britain who are struggling to get by.
