Moratti plays down Henry talk

13/03/2006 - 13:49:37
Inter Milan owner Massimo Moratti has brushed aside talk of Arsenal captain Thierry Henry moving to the San Siro this summer as speculation.

Reports in Italy have recently linked the Arsenal striker with a transfer to Inter but when asked whether the French striker would be joining Inter this summer, Moratti said on Inter’s official website, inter.it: “For the time being it’s only speculation.

“Of course, I like Henry, I don’t think anyone would respond differently to this question.”

Moratti also denied reports that Inter had a chance to sign Barcelona ace Ronaldinho when he was with Paris St Germain.

“We never had that possibility,” he said.

“I did have on my mind an exchange deal with one of the players I had back then and the president of the club that Ronaldinho played for was in agreement but the coach turned it down.”
