Wallace says forestry industry not realising potential
10/03/2006 - 11:15:39The forestry industry here is not realising its full potential, according to Minister for State Mary Wallace.
The Minister was speaking as she opened the National Forestry Conference.
Ms Wallace said that she was pro-actively targeting expansion of the sector and looking at market opportunities.
Forestry contributes over €1bn annually to the Irish economy and employs 16,000 people.
