Diaz disappoints in girly comedy
10/03/2006 - 19:07:26Not such a great thrill was another comedy caper, In Her Shoes (Fox, €21.99), yet another ha-ha effort from the one-dimensional Cameron Diaz.
This time she’s Maggie, one of two sisters whose party girl image runs foul of her sis Rose (Toni Collette), and the only thing they have in common is a pair of shoes.
It seems Maggie’s on the slippery slope to disaster, but hey, this is a comedy, so despite the unpleasantness, we’re working hard towards a happy ending. Pleasant enough, but not up to previous Diaz efforts.
Several featurettes and an Easter Egg flesh out the title, which also has an interesting alternative opening sequence.
