Explosion injures several in south-east Turkey
09/03/2006 - 07:45:16An explosion injured several people today in Turkey’s Kurdish dominated south-east amid escalating attacks by autonomy-seeking Kurdish guerrillas, Turkish media reports said.
Ambulances were attending the scene of the explosion in the south-eastern city of Van, bordering Iran, the Anatolia news agency and private NTV television reported.
More than 37,000 people have died in the fighting between Kurdish guerrillas and Turkish troops since 1984.
