Demon and Etoile on course
09/03/2006 - 14:07:06Leading ante-post fancies Racing Demon and Accordion Etoile head the 23 confirmations for the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham on Tuesday.
As expected, Nicky Richards has left Monet’s Garden in the two-mile contest and he looks an increasingly likely runner following the recent rainfall in the Gloucestershire area.
The Paul Nolan-trained Accordion Etoile heads a strong challenge from Ireland, which also includes Nickname, Wild Passion, Arteea and Missed That.
Foreman and Mid Dancer represent France, while the recent Arkle king, Martin Pipe, has left two of his horses in: Don’t Be Shy, who runs in David Johnson’s colours, and Tamarinbleu, just touched off by Accordion Etoile in November.
