Gardaí and police swoop in border security raids

A major security operation against criminals was underway on both sides of the border today.

Gardaí in Co Louth and police in south Armagh were involved in a series of raids.

One security source in the North confirmed: “It doesn’t get much bigger than this.”

Several properties were searched, but there were no immediate reports of arrests.
