School principal quits after kissing teenagers' feet
A US Catholic school principal has resigned after acknowledging to police that he kissed the feet of three teenage students to make good on a bet.
Robert Holloway, 49, quit his job as principal of St. Anthony of Padua school in Lorain, north-eastern Ohio, last month, said the Rev. Joe West, pastor of St. Anthony Parish.
Holloway could not immediately be reached for comment.
West wrote to parents last week to say that he accepted Holloway’s resignation.
Holloway already had been suspended.
He told police he kissed the feet of three 14-year-old boys after promising to do so 50 times if educators lost a recent teacher-student volleyball game.
According to a police report, Holloway also paid each student $15 (€12.60) as promised.
The boys said they did not believe the principal’s actions were done in a sexual way and Lorain police said no criminal charges would be filed.
