Albania confirms bird flu in dead chicken
08/03/2006 - 10:01:04A chicken found dead in a southern Albanian town has tested positive for the H5N1 strain of bird flu.
Agriculture minister Jemin Gjana said the dead chicken found in the village of Cuke, 180 miles south of capital Tirana, was confirmed as H5N1 positive after analysis made in Britain.
