Teenager stabbed on school bus in Waterford

Gardaí in Waterford are investigating the stabbing of a teenager on board a school bus in the city yesterday afternoon.

The boy suffered stab wounds to his shoulder, hands and leg after being attacked by three others while the bus was stopped on Patrick Street just before 4pm.

He was taken to hospital in the city, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two people were arrested in connection with the stabbing, but were later released pending instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
