Committee seeks minister to oversee broadband roll-out

A committee of TDs and Senators has called for the appointment of a Junior Minister to co-ordinate the roll-out of broadband services nationwide.

The recommendation is one of 12 made by the Oireachtas communications committee in a report published today.

The body is also calling for greater co-ordination between the Government, the telecommunications industry and users of broadband services.
