Teagasc predicts 11% fall in farm incomes by 2015
07/03/2006 - 12:01:44Irish farm incomes are set to fall significantly in the coming years as a result of globalisation, according to a report published today by Teagasc.
The agriculture development authority said its research had predicted that impending trade reforms could see incomes falling by as much as 11% between now and 2015.
The reforms include the elimination of EU export subsidies and the lowering of tariffs on goods imported into the EU.
