Hereford hopeful

This afternoon’s meeting at Hereford is subject to a further inspection at 10.30am after an earlier look proved inconclusive.

Officials at the track had inspected at 8.30am and despite the track not being raceable then, temperatures are on the rise all the time and prospects are improving.

Gemma Charington, clerk of the course said: “It’s already four degrees now and the sun is up.

“It hadn’t improved enough by 8.30am for us to give a definite decision but if conditions continue to improve as quickly we should be OK.

“I’m a lot more positive about the meeting going ahead now than I was yesterday.”
