Healy gets Mayo start
Ballina Stephenites goalkeeper John Healy will make his first start of Mayo's NFL Divison 1A campaign when they take on Monaghan on Sunday (Clontibret, throw-in 2.30pm).
Healy, who played in five of the westerners' seven league games back in 2004, has found it hard to feature for the county in 2006 with Fintan Ruddy, Paul Tiernan and David Hannon all vying for the number 1 slot.
Last season's first choice 'keeper David Clarke is also recovering from a groin operation.
But manager Mickey Moran has afforded Healy a chance to impress.
Ruddy makes way with Moran making four other changes to the side that beat Offaly - 1-15 to 0-10 - last time out in the league.
Corner back Trevor Howley and left corner forward Pat Casey have been dropped in favour of Dermot Geraghty and Alan Dillon.
Having manned the midfield against Offaly, Billy Joe Padden is repositioned on the forty with Ronan McGarrity drafted in at centre-field.
Killala's Rory Hannick is also included in the half-forward line at the expense of Andy Moran.
MAYO (NFL v Monaghan) - J Healy; D Geraghty, D Heaney, K Higgins; P Kelly, J Nallen, P Gardiner; R McGarrity, J Gill; R Hannick, G Brady, BJ Padden; C Mortimer, A O'Malley, A Dillon.
