Diouf may figure

03/03/2006 - 08:01:56
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is hoping to welcome El-Hadji Diouf back into the fold for the Barclays Premiership trip to Newcastle.

The Senegal striker has made a rapid recovery from a double hernia operation and may find himself on the bench at St James’ Park as the Trotters look to record their first away win on Tyneside since 1959 and enhance their Champions League claims.

Allardyce will take a late check on the fitness of his nine internationals but Matt Jansen (knee) has already been ruled out and Nicky Hunt is suspended.

Provisional squad: Jaaskelainen, Walker, O’Brien, N’Gotty, Jaidi, Gardner, Faye, Speed, Okocha, Ben Haim, Nakata, Vaz Te, Nolan, Davies, Diouf, Giannakopoulos, Borgetti, Pedersen.
