Man arrested after shots fired at Garda car in Limerick
03/03/2006 - 19:51:28A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Garda patrol car in Limerick City overnight.
Two uniformed gardaí escaped uninjured from the vehicle following the shooting on St. Munchin's Street this morning at 4.30am.
Both members of the force were preserving the scene of an earlier shooting at two houses in St. Mary's Park at the time of the incident.
A man, who is in his early 20s, was arrested in the Southside Estate at around 10am today.
He's being questioned by gardaí at Henry Street Garda Station.
