Radio station launches multi-lingual anti road-death campaign

On of the country's local radio stations is to launch a new campaign to try and curb the number of road deaths in its region.

Midlands 103 will broadcast a series of messages in different languages from Monday next to alert foreign nationals to the dangers of speed, drink driving and other hazards.

The messages will be in English, Polish, Latvian, Russian, Nigerian and Lithuanian.

The AA said it hoped other stations would follow suit and Midlands 103 said it would make the campaign available to other broadcasters.
