Man and woman in custody after Waterford drug seizure
01/03/2006 - 09:42:16Gardaí in Waterford are holding two people this morning in connection with a cocaine and cannabis seizure earlier this week.
The man and woman, both in their 30s, were arrested on Monday night, but details of the seizure were only released today.
Gardaí said 60 kilos of cannabis was found during a search of a van in Waterford shortly after 8pm on Monday, while an undisclosed quantity of cocaine was discovered during a follow-up search at a house in the city.
The value of the drugs has been put at €500,000.
