Elan to suspend trading for two days next week
01/03/2006 - 07:09:11Pharmaceutical company Elan will suspend trading of its shares for up to two days from March 7.
The move, which has been agreed with the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE), the Financial Services Authority in the United Kingdom and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), will operate during a scheduled US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory committee meeting to review multiple sclerosis drug Tysabri.
On March 7, trading will be suspended on the ISE and London Stock Exchange from 1pm to
coincide with the start of the Advisory Committee meeting.
When the advisory committee meeting is complete, the company will request the stock exchanges to resume trading.
