Aer Lingus reports 32% fall in operating profits last year

Aer Lingus has reported a sharp drop in its operating profits for last year.

The airline today announced operating profits of €72m for 2005, down 32% from the €107m profit it made the previous year.

Aer Lingus said the fall was mainly due to rising fuel prices

It says the drop is due mainly to a hike in fuel prices.
