O'Connor talks in Loko-motion
Hibernian have confirmed they are in talks with Lokomotiv Moscow over the possible transfer of Garry O’Connor to the Russian club.
The 22-year-old striker, who is in the Scotland squad to face Switzerland at Hampden Park on Wednesday, has two years left on his current contract at Easter Road.
However, a spokesman for Hibs said a possible deal with the Russian club was just too lucrative to dismiss out of hand.
He said: “One of the reasons the club are prepared to speak with them is that this could be a life-changing move for Garry. We are not talking about him moving from one Scottish team to another and doubling his wages.
“The figures quoted in the newspapers are accurate and indeed perhaps even the bottom line.
“It is Premiership-type wages we are speaking about and Garry could become a millionaire.”
