ISEQ closes in on 8000 barrier
27/02/2006 - 11:26:04The ISEQ index of Irish shares inched closer to the 8000 barrier this morning, rising 24.95 points to 7968.62 by 11am.
The financial heavyweights enjoyed mostly good fortunes. AIB rose 15c to €20.15, Anglo Irish Bank rose 13c to €13.73 and Bank of Ireland rose 9c to €14.99.
Irish Life and Permanent bucked the trend falling 5c to €18.55.
Low-budget airline rose 5c to €7.65.
